VISION
SwissMedia wants to be the national business support to organizations for entrepreneurship development and training in the field of Information Technology, Communication (ICT) and Multimedia.
In recent years, the multimedia industry and ICT have evolved very rapidly not only in Switzerland but also worldwide. This industry is characterized by its relative "youth", its diversification, creativity and rapid growth. It is the result of convergence between the sectors of culture, communications, computing and telecommunications.
The multimedia industry and ICT is composed of two main types of economic actors characterized by the diversity of their activities:

Those directly involved in the creative process, development, production, dissemination and distribution of content and applications in ICT and multimedia. Those directly involved are the heart of the industry and its growth towards the search for balance and maturity.

Those who contribute to the development of the competitiveness of the industry, offering services that allow players to maximize their direct benefit or educational institutions providing training, governments, financial investors, software and hardware suppliers.
MISSION
SwissMedia has the mission of leading a network of economic actors and institutions to develop synergies in projects in ICT and multimedia.
SwissMedia's actions are aimed at supporting and accelerating the growth and competitiveness of the Multimedia industry in respect of all its stakeholders. SwissMedia, a nonprofit organization, receives funding from both institutional and private partners.
OBJECTIVES
I. Promotional Strategy
Generate synergies and promote cooperation among economic and institutional resources in ICT and multimedia.
Operational

Increase the critical mass of participation by the association of institutional partners (public authorities, associations, training institutes and research institutions) as well as private economic partners (large companies and SMEs);

Promote knowledge and technology transfer by promoting research, innovations and developments made by the centers or training institutes and research through the contact between the market and practical research application;

Design, develop and promote a network of SwissMedia Training Centers and its quality label;

Present the mission of SwissMedia at events at home and abroad with the participation of institutional partners and businesses;

Participate in European programs for visibility and participation of partners and member companies.
II. Entrepreneurial Strategy
Operational

Establish structures for incubating start-ups;

Strengthen the promotion of member enterprises in the ICT sector and Multimedia;

Organize events (congresses, conferences, seminars and exhibitions) in Switzerland and abroad with the participation of members and partners;

Organize business trips abroad and encourage business travel to Switzerland;

Organizing conferences for the presentation of stimulating public relations firms and the establishment of networks and seminars for training and exchange of experiences;

Promote and develop the Internet platform www.swissmedia.ch increasing its visibility through services available to partners and businesses;

To conduct media campaigns to promote SwissMedia and its partners, as well as all operations for the development of ICT and Multimedia.
III. Conceptual Strategy
- Conceive, design, develop and promote the contact network of SwissMedia-Center
Operational

Conceive, design and develop the SwissMedia Foundation and develop a Seed Fund.

Expand the Internet platform www.swissmedia.ch by strengthening its visibility through services available to partners and businesses;

Implement a network of SwissMedia training centers;

Stimulate the development of the network of SwissMedia Centers as well as the opening of SwissMedia Lausanne;

Support the establishment of incubators in both Vevey and in Lausanne.
