ERC Starting Grant: good news

Good news for those having just submitted or will shortly submit a proposal for an ERC Starting Grant: Compared to the first call, the current call is far less over-subscribed. The ERC announced thatsome1'100 proposals were submitted to the Physical Sciences and Engineering domain (ERC news) - about a fourth of last year's amount. About the same amount of budget being available, the success rate will thus be markedly increased.
